Vaiper, long-time representative of the Lithuanian urban scene, together with his colleague Shmekla, released the legendary album I.K.E.P., which became a classic Lithuanian Hip Hop milestone. Vaiper was the winner of the first Lithuanian online beatmaking battle, and produced for many local performers. After releasing an album in 2004, the “Despotin Fam” hook-up was established. Despotin Fam includes MCs, DJs and producers, creating an exclusive Lithuanian urban sound. In 2007 a new radio show for urban music was established. "Despotin Beat Club" educates listeners and collaborates with the world's urban music scene. This year Despotin' Fam are taking the next step up, releasing their new album, which has been in the making for 4 years. 2010 DJs and producers Vaiper, Harvey Clef and Emylis have started a new imprint called Renegades Of Bump, a small community-based label responsible for helping young Lithuanian urban music producers to progress. The crew organized the first live Lithuanian beat battle and released a compilation of 18 tracks from all corners of the Lithuanian beat scene.
